Musandam is a small governorate that is located on Musandam peninsula, northeast extension of the Arabian Peninsula. It is actually a part of Oman and separated from the rest of the country, to the south by the UAE. It is almost 1800 meters above sea level and makes for a very nice vacation and tourism spot.
