The second largest city in the Abu Dhabi, Al Ain is the fourth largest city in the UAE. Located on the border touching Oman and connected to Dubai via a road, Al Ain is fast on its way to become a tourist resort.

Also known as the Garden City due to its greenery, Al Ain has the highest number of parks, oases and tree lined avenues and decorative roundabouts within the city.  Due to its natural beauty and serene atmosphere, Al Ain is developing fast as a tourist destination. Its dry desert air makes it a welcome retreat from the coastal humidity of larger cities and the local people often come here for holidays and vacations.

Some of the best attractions of Al Ain include Al Ain National Museum, the Al Ain Palace Museum, several restored forts and the Hili archaeological site, dating back to the Bronze Age. Jebel Hafeet, a 1340-metre-high mountain, dominates the surrounding area of al Ain making it a popular visiting area due to natural springs. Its make a great outing to visit the mountains in the evening at sunset.

Other attractions in Al Ain include the Al Ain Oasis in the city centre as well as numerous other oases dotted around the city that provide a cool retreat in summers. There is also a central zoo as well as an amusement park called Al Ain Fun City and numerous other parks and a heritage village that makes it a fairly good tourism spot.

Along with these, Al Ain also has 7 oases; the largest one is Al Ain Oasis that is located just south of the town center while the smallest is the Al Jahili Oasis. The rest are Qattara, Al Mutaredh, Al Jimi, Al Muaiji and Hili.

There are also three big malls in the city namely Al Ain Mall in town center, Al-Jimi Mall in the Al-Jimi district, and Bawadi Mall located in the Defense District. Most of the commercial activity in the city is centered in and around the town center which makes it a very happening place for locals as well as tourists.
